Piper 7/24/05:
(CH
Karmuns Leading Role "Actor" x
Woodhue Bronze Quicksand
"Tori")
Born June 29, 2002, Great things come in small packages... Only 14 1/4", she has a playful attitude, a solid body, great movement, tight ear set and sweet face all coming together for a wonderful girl! Not to mention the "fear nothing" temperament! She is everything I was looking for in a show dog! I had lots of fun with this lovely girl in the Special's Ring!
Piper is a once in a lifetime dog. She loved to show and was always the "life of the party"... When in the house, her favorite place to be is curled up on a couch or up on a bed. She is bark softened and is good with other dogs and with cats. She is one I used to take to nursing homes and she would curl up on the bed with people who weren't able to get up to pet her.

Piper's
Story:
I managed
to talk my Mom out of this puppy... Basically it boiled down to me telling her
that I wouldn't stop nagging her for her until she signed her over!! That and
she had a couple of other pups that she was growing out already...
This gorgeous little girl has been turning heads everywhere she goes... On only her FOURTH show out (3rd weekend) she took her first MAJOR RESERVE at the Cudahy Kennel Club show!! That may not be a big deal for an adult dog who is already pointed but for a puppy that has only been shown on a limited basis that is INCREDIBLE!
At her second show, she was in the running for Runner-up to Best in Sweeps... Lyn Krivanek seemed to really like her attitude, calling Piper the "Bad Girl"... At this show, it was the first time I had broken into a run with her while showing and she started to bark at me! Talk about presence!! That and our frequent "tug-O-war" matches with her favorite squeaky toy have really gotten the attention of the spectators... (and a good chuckle from the judge!) She also has taken to attacking my feet (been working on breaking that habit!)
Piper
has since been making heads spin... She took her first Major at only 9
months old at a Specialty and then didn't get any more points for over a
year. When she was almost 2, she started picking up singles and picked up
points almost every weekend she was shown bringing her up to a total of 10
points. Piper took a sabbatical in the fall of 2004 to have a beautiful
litter sired by "Jake" (CH TNT Reign King) and on her second weekend
out after her litter (Spring 2005), she took back-to-back Best of Breeds! Those
Breed wins took care of her remaining two singles and then I was prepared to
have to work through a long drawn-out major chasing battle... To my
surprise, the following weekend (3rd weekend out since litter) she FINISHED with
a 3 point MAJOR in Madison, WI!
And in case you were wondering, I did it ALL MYSELF!!! No one else handled
her!
We also took Piper out into the Specials ring to have some REAL fun! She enjoys showing so much that I just didn't have the heart to keep her home! Hey, what can I say, I like to keep my dogs happy, and she gets downright jealous when I go without her!
